To Lake Associations and Waterfront Residents,
Beginning this year, the implementation of riparian zone restoration in the watersheds of the rivers Rouge, Petite Nation, and Saumon will serve to fight against the proliferation of cyanobacteria (blue-green algae). This action plan is made possible due to financing from the Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et des Parcs (MDDEP) Quebec, the Government of Canada's Economic Action Plan, the Conférence régionale des élus de l'Outaouais, the Pacte rural of the MRC Papineau, the Commission scolaire au Cœur-des-Vallées, the Caisse populaire Desjardins de la Petite-Nation, the Auberge jeunesse de la Petite-Nation, the Camp Rivière-Rouge and through the support of your municipality and lake association as well as the efforts of the OBV des rivières Rouge, Petite Nation et Saumon (OBV RPNS).
