{"id":450,"date":"2010-06-18T00:00:34","date_gmt":"2010-06-18T04:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/apls.tech-mentor.com\/?p=450"},"modified":"2010-07-29T14:48:47","modified_gmt":"2010-07-29T18:48:47","slug":"a-controversial-landing-in-lac-simon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apls.ca\/en\/archives\/450","title":{"rendered":"A controversial landing in Lac-Simon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a title=\"Jessy Laflamme - Info 07\" href=\"http:\/\/www.info07.com\/?controllerName=author&amp;id=2268&amp;siteId=100\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-272\" title=\"Jessy Laflamme\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/JessyLaflamme.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><\/strong><strong>The municipality of Lac-Simon will hold a briefing tomorrow morning at 10am at the Town Hall on a proposal to build a permanent dock at the island's white duck is generating significant controversy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An entrepreneur who owns land on the island, some of which have already been constructed, the proposed construction of a permanent dock for utilities to be able to carry such materials more easily.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lac Simon Property-Owners\u2019 Association\u00a0(SPLA) and a committee of owners of the island of white duck join forces to strongly oppose this project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The opponents ask that applied Article 5 (unauthorized landing) 417-2009-law, stipulating that all land uses for motorized boat descent are prohibited, a moratorium on the development of White Duck Island is adopted by the municipality, the developer is required to conduct a study of the environmental impact of its project.\u00a0They also ask that in the medium term the municipality shall adopt a development plan specific to the island of white duck<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Citizens opposed to the project believe that the municipality may not consider the planning application for a permanent pier in the context of an overall development plan and that, given that the ecosystem of an island is much more fragile, a concentration of facilities should be considered with great caution.<\/p>\n\n<!-- FB Like Button Starbit IT Solutions BEGIN -->\n<div class=\"fb-like\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.apls.ca\/en\/archives\/450\" data-layout=\"standard\" data-action=\"like\" data-show-faces=\"true\" data-size=\"small\" data-width=\"450\" data-share=\"1\" ><\/div>\n<!-- FB Like Button Starbit IT Solutions END -->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The municipality of Lac-Simon will hold a briefing tomorrow morning at 10am at the Town Hall on a proposal to build a permanent dock at the island&#8217;s white duck is generating significant controversy.
